The equalisation of their powers occurred on 01.07.2015, when the Act of 27.09.2013 amending the Act - Code of Criminal Procedure and some other acts came into force. Thanks to this amendment Kancelaria Prawa Gospodarczego i Podatkowego Marek K. Wynimko in Białystok now provides a full range of legal services, including those that until 2015 were reserved exclusively for solicitors.

Before the July 2015 amendment solicitors were not allowed to act as defence counsel in criminal and criminal fiscal matters. Their domain was civil, family and administrative law. Nowadays, legal advisers can represent their clients before the courts on an equal footing with advocates.
